Columbia River Gorge - May 2007

The Columbia River Gorge forms the boundary between the States of Oregon and Washington. Lewis and Clark used this river passage during their famous trek across the Cascades. The Gorge was formed during the last Ice Age, some 13,000 years ago, and is home to dozens of photogenic waterfalls. We launched our trips to the Gorge from the city of Portland, only a 30 minute drive away. Other than the shithole called the Banfield Motel, it was a successful trip.
